Creating your webpage:
Step 1: Create a Welcome Page
Your welcome page should include:
- information about yourself
- A picture to represent To Kill a Mockingbird
- A question you have before we begin reading (this should be a thought-provoking question, perhaps 1 that you thought of while answering the questions to your webquest) (Due 4/25)
Step 2: Create Webquest Page
This page should be in paragraph format (not numbered). Each question might make up a paragraph, or you may choose to combine 2-3 questions to form one paragraph. It should follow a logical, smooth progression. You may choose to include a Title, large size picture, and Paragraph or you may choose to include a Title and a Paragraph with picture. The written information in this section should be a compilation of your answers to your webquest. The idea is to teach the class about your topic. Be prepared to present your Webquest page to the class. Include an appropriate picture. Make sure your page is appealing. Remember, too many colors, pictures, and different font styles will distract the readers from the real information you want to convey. Be creative! (Due 4/26)
Step 3: Create Station Page
This page should be in paragraph format. Choose the layout you prefer, but it must include a title which indicates the station # and a picture. The writing portion of this page should include an analysis of what you learned while completing the station. Include any information you feel is necessary for a reader to understand your station, but avoid copying whole articles. For example, if the station you chose to include was Station #1 - Poetry, you may want to include the poem on your page. Use your personal judgement and be creative! (Due 4/30)
Step 4: Create Chapter Questions Page
This page should include a title, the answers to all the chapter questions, and pictures. Each set of questions, for example Chapters 1-3, should include a picture. Your answers should be written in complete sentences and the information should flow logically in paragraph format.
Step 5: Create a Character Sketch page:
This page should include a picture of your character and a detailed descrpition. Your description might include personalilty traits, physical appearence descriptors (use a quote), or any other importnant information to describe your character. You must include at least 5 quotes to support your descriptions and explain each quote. Also, choose a picture to symbolize your character. Be sure to explain the symbolism. Be creative!
Step 6: Create a My Connections Page:
This page will be where you answer any miscelaneous, journal like questions. Your first question is:
*What childhood games do Jem, Scout, and Dill play? Describe them. Describe a childhood game you used to play.
Your welcome page should include:
- information about yourself
- A picture to represent To Kill a Mockingbird
- A question you have before we begin reading (this should be a thought-provoking question, perhaps 1 that you thought of while answering the questions to your webquest) (Due 4/25)
